Hobonichi Cousin Accessory for 2026 – planner tabs redesigned
A new year is just around the corner and it’s an exciting season for the planner community! I am excited, although a bit overwhelmed to start my new journals and planners and slowly decide on my planner system for 2026. But before we talk about any planning/journaling system, I wanted to share these new planner tabs designs that I created for 2026.
I love the Hobonichi Cousin and started using it in 2023, tried a different one in 2024 (Take a Note A5, didn’t work), and now I am back to using it in 2025. I am happy to say that I am sticking with the Hobonichi Cousin for 2026 and excited to set it up. One of the products that I always look forward to designing during this season are the planner tabs. I have a few new color combinations available and I am excited to share them to you.
New Planner Tab designs for 2026
Although I mainly designed these planner tabs to fit the Hobonichi Cousin, you can definitely still use these for any kind of planner or notebooks that you have. I made sure they are small, durable and easy to apply. I made a few changes to the cuts which I have shared below.
- A slit a center for easy folding
- Improved tab shape to help align it to the edge of the page.
- Slightly increased tab width and font size

It was hard to decide which one I want to add to my 2026 Hobonichi Cousin but I eventually decided on Garden Mist. It reminds me of a leaves and the skies, kind of like walking along a beautiful field during a sunny day. I was originally only going to add tabs for the daily pages but eventually decided to add tabs for the weekly layout as well. I chose the lighter green to match the tabs for the dailies.
If these new colors and designs aren’t up your alley, I have older designs which I have included below. My products can be backordered which means if they are out of stock, you can still place an order. I will produce them and ship them to you, this also means your order will take longer to get to you.
